There is so much going on this Independence Day—Fireworks, parades, baseball, live music and much more. There are over 30 events and festivals happening on the 4th of July in Asheville and the surrounding areas of Western North Carolina! Here is a list of a few of the activities going on so you can start planning your holiday.
Starting at 2 pm, Independence Day celebrations kick off in Pack Square Park. There will be children’s actives and bounce houses set up during the day and live music after 5 pm. The Ultimate Air Dogs shows are at 2, 4, 6 and 7:30 pm. Beer and over 10 food trucks will also be onsite to enjoy during the festival. Fireworks kick off at 9:30 pm.
There is nothing more all-American than going to a baseball game! The Asheville Tourists play the Atlanta Rome Braves at 7:05 pm. After the game, enjoy a big firework show in the Stadium.
Lake Julian will be bustling with people during the day. Enjoy the lake, picnic areas, grills, sand volleyball, horseshoe, boat rentals and the playgrounds. Fireworks over the lake start at dark.
Celebrations and Fireworks Near Asheville, NC
There are 30 small towns surrounding Asheville that will have activates throughout the July Fourth week. Check out the watermelon cutting event and Black Mountain fireworks, the Old Fort Parade or the Brevard Music Center Festival.
